Apples have a history from Adam and Eve, to an apple a day keeps the doctor away, to apple recipes, to apple diets.  It is no wonder that apples  are often collected and the apple design is used for décor. 

Apple gift ideas—

· Apple Greetings—fill a basket with a selection of greeting cards, note cards, note pads, pencils, pen, forever stamps, address and/or date book.  Add some apple jelly, apple tea, apple chips, etc.

· Apple Scents— Use an apple scented hot pad or one with an apple design.   Top it with an apple (s) or a jar of apple butter, apple jelly, etc.   Cut a square of cello, tissue paper, or wrapping paper approx. 24” x 24” .  Place your pad in the middle and the other item (s) on top of the pad.  Draw the paper up around the stack and secure with tape, rubber band, or tie twist.   Add a ribbon.  See sample to the right.   (Alternate wrap could be a dishcloth or dishtowel.)

An Apple a Day $9.50   Very Small basket contains a small tin apple that opens for notes or treasures, sticky note pad, pen, assorted candies, and a small bag of crackers. Use the little apple for sending notes with a packed lunch or snack. The tin apple can also hold your special goals for yourself.  Write your goals, dreams and desires on a piece of paper and put into tin.  Do not look for six months to a year, you might be surprised when you do look that some of what you wrote has come true or that you are on your way to having them come true.  See sample of tin below.

Hot and Spicey $19

Scented hot pad filled with spices. One 11 oz. jar of Robert Rothschild Salsa or Hot Dip.  This makes a great hostess gift or use as a birthday gift for both men and women.
